I am in the whisper of the heavens

When you loose your identity
When you question who you are and where you are going,
Open your heart and see me.
I am the twinkle in the stars smiling down upon you,
Lighting the path for your journey.

When you awaken each morning
Not remembering your dreams
But feeling content and serene
Know that I was with you
Filling your night with thoughts of me.

When you linger in the remnant pain
Wholeness seeming so unfamiliar
Think of me and know that I am with you,
Touching you through the shared tears of a gentle friend
Easing the pain.

As the sunrise illuminates the desert sky
In the breathtaking glory, awaken your spirit
Think of our time, all too brief, but ever brilliant.

JAKE’s LIFE
Jake was in a sense a typical little boy. He loved sports, race cars and pirates, but there was something very special about him unlike a five year old. He lived with joy and passion. Jake was born with muscular dystrophy, he was confined to a wheelchair. He faced painful surgeries and challenges as a little boy that many of us will never understand. Jake never complained nor did he ever see himself as different. He never felt sorry for himself. Anytime you saw him he had this huge smile on his face and he would tell you that one day “I’m going to walk.” He had such determination and will. It was infectious to others. He had a light and he let it shine! Jake’s courage and love for life and exuberant personality made him truly one of a kind. Everyday was an adventure for him – living life to the fullest, exploring every opportunity to play, meet new people and express himself relentlessly. He loved his life and loved everything and everyone he touched. Jake is running the streets of heaven now. I smile when I picture him doing so, even though my heart is ripped apart inside. I’d give away my soul to hold him one more time or to hear him say “Mommy, I love you.” I know one day i will be reunited with my precious little boy, until then…You will never be forgotten baby…You will always be my one true joy..The brightest star in my life…My everything. Run like the wind Jake…Go go go , Love , Mama
